Rules

Everything that decides where you sit on the board, what you pay, and what gets a listing pulled. Short, and all of it enforced by the site rather than by anyone’s judgement.

How the ranking works

  1. 01

    The bid sets the rank

Places are ordered by bid, highest first. Ties are broken by whoever bid first.

  2. 02

    $5 minimum

Any new listing starts at $5. There is no maximum.

  3. 03

Taking a place costs one dollar more than its holder

The price of a place is the current holder's bid plus $1, or the minimum if nobody holds it. The server works that out at the moment you confirm — you pick a rank, never a price, so nobody can quote themselves a cheaper one.

  4. 04

Getting outbid does not remove you

You keep your listing and slide down as higher bids come in. Raise your bid at any time to climb back.

  5. 05

The place you pay for is not always the place you land on

A locked place above yours can shift the board between picking a rank and paying for it. When the two differ, the receipt tells you both numbers.

  6. 06

A country board is the same board, filtered

It is not a second ranking. Taking #N on a country board means outbidding whoever holds that place, which puts you above them on the global board too. The country is always your listing's own country.

Locking a place

  1. 07

    $10 per hour, 1 to 168 hours

Paid on top of the bid, at the time of purchase. A lock cannot be extended after the fact — buy the hours you want up front.

  2. 08

A locked place cannot be outbid

For as long as the lock runs, the place is held against every higher bid. It reads "Sold out" on the board and cannot be chosen in the outbid dialog. It is the one thing a bigger bid cannot take from you.

  3. 09

A lock expires on its own

When the time elapses the place drops straight back into normal bid order, at whatever its bid is worth by then. Nothing is renewed automatically and nothing is charged again.

Listings and identity

  1. 10

    No accounts

There is no sign-up and no password. The listing URL is the identity — that is the whole of it.

  2. 11

    One listing per product

The same URL or @handle twice is one listing. Bidding again on a URL already on the board raises that listing instead of creating a second one.

  3. 12

    Bidding again updates the listing

Name, description, category, and country are all taken from the new purchase along with the bid. There is no separate edit screen, because there is nothing to log in to.

  4. 13

    Working links only

The URL must resolve and must point at the product being listed. Redirect chains, parked domains, and dead links are removed without refund.

Paying

  1. 14

Nothing reaches the board until payment clears

Picking a place reserves a pending order and nothing more. An abandoned or failed checkout never changes the ranking, and never costs anyone their place.

  2. 15

    Bids are final

A bid is not refundable once the listing is live, including when someone outbids you a minute later. What you paid for is the place you got, not how long you keep it.

  3. 16

    Prices are in US dollars

Every amount on the board and in the checkout is USD. Your bank decides the conversion if you pay in something else.

What gets a listing pulled

  1. 17

    Nothing illegal or hostile

No malware, phishing, scams, adult content, or anything unlawful where the board operates. Removed without refund.

  2. 18

    No impersonation

List a product you have the right to list. Passing off somebody else's product, brand, or handle as your own is removed without refund.

  3. 19

Removal does not free the money

A listing pulled under these rules forfeits what was paid for it, lock included. The place goes back on the board for whoever wants it next.

Anything these rules do not answer is on the about page, which has the pricing in full and a contact address.
