About
Topgo is a public list of products ranked by what their makers are willing to pay for the spot. No algorithm, no editorial picks — the board is the bids, in order, updated the moment someone outbids someone else.
How it works
- 1
Place a bid
Enter your product URL or @handle and the amount you want to pay. Spots start at $5.
- 2
Take a place
Your bid decides your rank. Beat the #1 price to take the top, or pay less and land wherever that bid reaches.
- 3
Get the clicks
Every listing is a live link. Visitors browse the board, click through, and the counter on your row keeps score.
What a place costs
- Any placeHolder's bid + $1
Taking a place costs one dollar more than whoever holds it. The server prices it at the moment you confirm — you send a rank, never a price.
- An empty place$5
Nobody to outbid, so it costs the board minimum. On a young board that is most of it.
- Locking a place$10 / hour
A lock holds your rank against every higher bid until it elapses, up to 168 hours. Buy it for the length of a launch rather than a whole day. It is the one thing money buys that a bigger bid cannot take.
Why bother
Because ranking is honest here. Everyone sees the price of every place, so a spot is worth exactly what someone paid for it — and you can take it from them at any time.
Every row is a live link, and the click counter on it is public. What the place is worth to you is a number you can check.
Questions
- Do I need an account?
- No. There is no sign-up and no password anywhere on this site. Your listing URL is your identity — bid again with the same URL and it raises the listing you already have instead of creating a second one.
- What happens when someone outbids me?
- You slide down one place. You are not removed, your listing stays live, and it keeps collecting clicks. Bid again at any time to climb back.
- Can I get a refund?
- No. A bid is final once the listing is live, including when someone outbids you a minute later. What you paid for is the place you got, not how long you keep it.
- I asked for #4 and landed on #5.
- A locked place above yours can shift the board between the moment you pick a rank and the moment payment lands. The receipt tells you both numbers when they differ.
- How are clicks counted?
- Once per visitor per hour, per listing. Repeat clicks inside that hour do not move the counter, and automated traffic is discarded. No raw IP addresses are stored — only a salted hash that is rotated daily.
- Can I edit my listing?
- Bidding again on the same URL updates the name, description, category, and country along with the bid. There is no separate edit screen, because there is no account to log in to.
The rules cover what gets a listing pulled.
